Your privacy is of utmost importance to Alliance PLG Inc. who owns the websites www.essuieglace.ca and www.wiperbladepro.ca and the online store that is integrated into it. This is why we are committed to respecting the confidentiality of the personal information we collect. 

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase on www.essuieglace.ca or www.wiperbladepro.ca (the “Site”).

2.1 Order Information : We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill all orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment, arranging shipping, and providing invoices and / or order confirmations by email). In addition, we use this Order Information to :  

  • Communicate with you regarding your order; and 
  • Evaluate our orders for potential fraud risks; and 
  • Statistical purposes and business performance analysis; and 
  • Provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.  

2.2 Device Information : We use the Device Information we collect to help us detect the risks of potential fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics on how our customers navigate and interact with the Site, and by evaluating the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

2.3 Data retention : When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information in the way described in section 3.2. 

SECTION 3 - CONSENT 

3.1 How we get your consent 

By providing us with your personal information when you complete a transaction, add a credit card, place an order, pay for a delivery, return merchandise or create an account on the Site, this implies that you consent to our use of your information as described in section 2. This includes the ability for us to send you transaction confirmation emails, order tracking emails, or emails that are part of our business processes (for example, emails to notify you of promotional offers or to share with you educational information about our products and services).  

By subscribing to our newsletter using a form specifically designed and identified for this purpose, this implies that you consent to our use of your information, which you have provided to us by filling out this form of your own accord, for communications and marketing operations.  

3.2 How you can withdraw your consent

If you receive an unwanted email from us, you can use the "unsubscribe" button at the top or bottom of the email to unsubscribe from our list or change your sending preferences. We will process your request within a reasonable time. We are not responsible for removing your information from the mailing list of any third party who may have received your information.

SECTION 4 –  SHARING AND DISCLOSURE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION 

4.1 Disclosure in case of force majeure : We may disclose your personal information if this is required by applicable law or regulations, or to respond to legal requests for information that we may receive, or if you violate our Terms of Service. 

4.2 Sharing to third parties : We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information as described in section 2 of this policy. These third parties are our service providers.  

We do not disclose your personal information to our service providers for their own marketing interests unless you give us permission to do so in accordance with this privacy policy (either by giving your consent or not withdrawing it where possibility is given to you). 

In general, the third parties whose services we use will only collect, use and disclose your information as necessary in order to continue to serve us in connection with the activities described in section 2 of this policy.

4.3 Suppliers  

  • We use Shopify to host our online store. This service provider allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Shopify's data storage, databases, and the Shopify app in general.   • We use Stripe as a payment gateway provider on our online store. This service provider allows us to securely and confidentially collect your payment information to complete your purchase transactions on our online store. If you choose a direct payment option to complete your purchase, Stripe retains your credit card information for as long as it takes to complete your purchase. Once your transaction is complete, your payment information is deleted. All direct payment solutions adhere to standards set by PCI-DSS and managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

  • We use Mailchimp to generate certain email communications that are part of our business processes. This service provider allows us to manage our customer and newsletter subscriber lists, and to generate and send you email communications unless you unsubscribe as described in section 3.2. 4.4 Limit of liability 

  • By leaving our Site and online store or being redirected to a third party website or application, you cease to adhere to this privacy policy or our Site terms of service. 
  • Our Site also contains links and interactive features that lead to various social media. If you are already using these platforms, their cookies may have been enabled on your device while visiting our Site. The information that you disclose or share publicly and that you transmit online on these different platforms or social media may have been viewed and used by third parties without any restriction for purposes beyond our control. 
  • Note that some of our service providers may be located or have facilities that are in different jurisdictions than ours or yours. This means that if you choose to proceed with a transaction which requires the services of a third party, your information may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which the third party or its facilities are located. For example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed through a payment system located in the United States, your personal information used for the transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States laws, including the Patriot Act.  
  • Note that we do not alter our Site's data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we can continue to sell products to you.
